Feelings Of Forgiveness
I forgive you for the hatred,
the times of constant blame,
Days of hidden torment
and acts to bring me shame.
I will not call you my enemy
after you tried to destroy,
You could not bring me harm
or take away feelings of joy.
Forgiveness is a blessing
and an act of loving care,
Despite the days of the past
when my personal was everywhere.
You tried to break my heart
and you told a million lies,
There was much I did not know
until I saw it with my eyes.
The past is now behind me
and you are gone from sight,
I forgive you in my silence
and pray for you at night.
